ENTRY #1 Blogs Here, Blogs There, Blogs Everywhere

I have always known blogs existent but I didn't think there was as many blogs on the web as I found as I was reading through some blog list. Some of these blogs that I had stumbled across were website the I have gone on to in the past and never even knew they were blogs. Blogs come in all different shapes and sizes, some personal, professional and some that are a little of both. Me personally I like the more personal blogs where the writer is simply writing because they want to say what they need to say.

I found a blog called PostSecret that I found to be interesting and definitely not like any blog that I have ever seen before, this blog allows those who read it to post their secrets on a homemade postcard and post them up for every one else to read, it is completely anonymous so some of the secrets are really personal but that is what makes the blog so different. This blog would be classified as a personal blog.

Since I have a huge passion for photography I searched for one that seemed to have a little bit of everything about photography. From the fundamentals to the artists actual work. The name of this blog is Jasmine Star, she has everything you need to know or might want to see from a photographer. She has her work, gear she uses, about her and a store all in one. If I was ever to start a blog for my photos I would model it after the way she does hers.

Her blog would be considered a little personal because she is showing off her work but at the same time professional because it is her profession.

My third blog that I read through was called Talented Animals. The blog discusses all things you should know when raising any type of animals. They have a tab for training, animal care and exotic animals. The one thing I really disliked about this blog was how cluttered the home page is, there is way too much writing and it is a bit distracting. If I was the writer of this blog I would consider putting sections, to make the stories into smaller tabs to take away from the clutter.

The urls for these three blogs are listed below if you would like to check them out:

  1. Wow the post secret blog would be incredible to read! That sounds like an amazing blog for people who are sad, lost, mad to come together to post their feelings. Imagine that. losing a child and not know if they are alive or if you will ever see them again. Sends chills down my spine because I couldn't even imagine how I would feel if my daughter did that. Very cool post. :)

  2. I also looked at the blog Post Secret and found it interesting. It is crazy how there are many blogs out on the internet and that many people writing about whatever. The post secret blog was cool because people got to share their secrets.

  3. I agree with the other that the Post Secret is really a neat concept ~ it's similar to Whisper, but better since it's more creative in that they're postcards. I like it!

  4. The Post Secret blog sounds interesting and different. Its is certainly not your regular type of blog. Most blogs are usually by moms with "happy picture perfect families" I am glad that there are other types of blogs that people with other interests can look into.
